What's for breakfast ?

Breakfast as I am sure you all know is the most important meal of the day. This is especially important if you are trying to get fit or loose weight. A good breakfast will help you feel fuller longer and reduce the desire for snacking. It is important for providing you with enough energy to get through the day.

Remember, when you wake up your body has not had any food to replenish it's energy stores in possibly 8 hours or more. Everybody at some point complains that there is not enough time to eat a decent breakfast in the morning. We all like to hit the snooze button but having those extra 10 minutes sleep and sacrificing a good start to the day can have a number of health effects that we may not even realize.

People who skip breakfast are not only missing out on vital nutrients and vitamins needed to get through the day but are also more likely to gain fat due to poor snacking throughout the day.

For those of you in school or University the consequences of not eating breakfast can mean difficulty concentrating and reduced brain function.

So instead of hitting that snooze button use those extra 10 minutes to give yourself a great start to the day.

Cereals alone will not provide the nutrients you need to start your day.

A good breakfast consists of some

Carbohydrates (Bread and Cereal)
Sugars (Fruit)
Protein (Eggs, fish, meat)
